The Sony Open in Hawaii and Friends of Hawaii Charities are proud to support the men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces and their families through a variety of Birdies for the Brave military outreach activities that take place throughout tournament week.

Complimentary Admission Proudly Supported By Hawaii Tourism and Pasha Hawaii

Free admission is extended to active duty and retired military service members, reserves and dependents who present a valid military ID.  In 2015, over 1,300 service members received free admission tickets at the gates throughout the week. Free admission is also extended to veterans through the Veteran Tickets Foundation (VTF). Veterans request tickets online at and VTF handles ticket fulfillment. VTF teams up with major sports teams, leagues, promoters, organizations, venues and every day event ticket holders to provide free and discounted tickets to the more than 21 million Military and Veterans in the United States.

Birdies For The Brave Military Caddie Program Presented By Pasha Hawaii

The Military Caddie Program gives 30 active duty military service members the opportunity to caddie for a PGA TOUR professional for one hole (#18) during the Wednesday Official Pro-Am and experience a PGA TOUR event "inside the ropes."

Birdies For The Brave Patriots’ Outpost Presented By Pasha Hawaii

A hospitality tent located on the 18th fairway is open to active duty and retired military service members, veterans, reserves and their families from Thursday through Sunday during tournament week. Complimentary food and beverages are provided. In 2015, over 1,700 service members and their families visited the Patriots' Outpost.
