Sony commissioned Kailua illustrator and graphic designer Kate Wadsworth to create the cover art for the 2021 Sony Open in Hawai’i program guide. Shining a spotlight on Hawaii-based artists, chefs and entrepreneurs is important to Sony which has longstanding ties to the islands and a deep appreciation for the people who live here.

The artist was raised in East Oahu and spent several years living on the East Coast where she received her BFA in Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.  Wadsworth said creating the cover art for the 2021 Sony Open in Hawaii was one of the highlights of 2020 for her.
