Our Kūpuna was launched in 2020 as a community effort to support Hawaii's vulnerable kūpuna to be able to stay home to avoid possible coronavirus exposure in public places like grocery stores and pharmacies. As individuals 60 years and older were at higher risk of severe health complications or death from the coronavirus, this population needed protection. Our Kūpuna's volunteers help low-income kūpuna who do not have family and safely assist them with accessing their essentials.
When you donate to a participating charity like Our Kūpuna through the Aloha for Hawaii Charities campaign now through January 19, 2022 (4 pm HST), that charity will receive 100% of your donation plus a bonus boost from a funding pool generated by Friends of Hawaii Charities from the 2022 Sony Open in Hawaii.
