Each year Sony Open tournament proceeds, together with support from The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Inc. enable Friends of Hawaii Charities to contribute $1 million to local charities benefitting women, children, elderly, and the impoverished. This year Friends of Hawaii Charities was able to grant $1.2 million to 150 local non-profit organizations. Over the past 21 years $19 million has been donated and this would not have been possible without the Sony Open's more than 1,500 dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to help produce the prestigious PGA TOUR event.
